Curated by Michael Guo and Kechun Qin (te editions), Digestive Ethics takes food as a portal to expose the ongoing alienation of food, labor, and perception within globalized production chains. Eleven artists trace out an invisible food chain—from oceans and forests to factories—reflecting on the entanglement of local experiences and global systems, as well as the veiled labor and exploitation behind them. The exhibition invites the audience to “chew” their relationship with the world anew.
